Nathan Gaub (Forex Mentoring)

Personal

  • Name: Nathan Gaub, ngaub@aol.com. 941-779-6928

  • Web Sites: www.forexmentoring4u.comwww.time4newfuture.com, www.gaubfx.com

  • Education: Home schooled, College credits in many areas

  • Family: Wife (Doris), 4 daughters, 11 grandchildren

  • Business: Retired, ministry, Forex Mentoring

  • Hobbies: Skydiving, scuba diving, computer science, motorcycles

  • Home church: Stone Church, Yakima, WA

How it started: Nathan was the oldest of three children raised in a traveling ministry. He was home schooled and participated in a music group associated with his father's ministry. During the 70's and 80's Nathan was a lead singer and key board player in a Christian rock band. Health issues forced him to settle in Oklahoma to run a recording studio. Nathan then worked for an audio visual productions company and put on shows in music, business, fashion, sporting, etc. Most recently Nathan worked for an automotive company in upper level management in a chain of dealerships in the Washington, DC area.

When Nathan started trading Forex, he found a level of success and realized he didn't need a job. From there he and his brother Dan had friends ask for help with trading and their mentoring grew from a few dozen, to a few hundred, to one of the largest free mentoring programs for Forex trading in the US.

Nathan uses a foundation for ministry purposes. He sees the purpose of money as a tool for ministry. Nathan is the sponsoring broker for those who trade with him; a fraction of the commission on each trade is routed to the foundation.

Personal Passion: Nathan loves to help people understand what the Bible says about finances; specifically the principles in God's word that bring financial blessing and abundant life. He has two primary expressions of that passion - conferences and mentoring.

While living in Florida, Nathan had a pastor friend who was sick who asked him to cover a Sunday. Nathan spoke on finances and there were coincidently four other pastors on a fishing vacation who happened to be in the service who also invited him to their churches. From that start Nathan developed a vision to minister to Christians living in poverty; particularly inner city churches.

Nathan's second passion is Forex mentoring. He primarily helps Christians to learn who we are, how we give, and what the Bible says about money. He loves to transform lives and has a following of traders who are successful enough to quit their jobs.

Personal Benefit: Nathan believes that we who are blessed should, in turn, bless others. He's seen lives and finances radically changed through Forex trading. The Bible says that we cannot serve God and mammon. Many conclude from that phrase that it's spiritual to love God in poverty. In reality, Christians who are broke at the end of every paycheck are dominated by survival and consumed by mammon (making money) instead of ministry. Money is only an important focus if you don't have any.

Nathan's attitude about giving is that "it's only money, I can get more." The beauty in that statement is that he really can get more. Nathan has seen the exploits in generosity in his second generation traders and feels a real satisfaction from having helped them become prosperous and generous.

Value to others: There is a strong emphasis in scripture about finances and helping the poor. If you're one of the poor you can't do much to help them theologically or practically. Nathan helps people understand how to live a giving lifestyle from a position of abundance.

Business Potential (upside): Nathan is really in retirement at an early age. He makes his living from trading himself and is able to "give" his mentoring to others. He typically spends about 20 hours a week mentoring and 4-6 trading for himself.

Nathan is able to fund his ministry expenses from his trading income. He is preparing a high quality video series and notebook that pastors can use over a nine week period to teach their congregation how to break out of poverty with basic financial mentoring.

In a recent conference in Tampa, he marched the entire congregation to a bank on a Saturday morning to open checking accounts. He found out they had been paying 7-10% to cash their checks. He carries a burden for the poor and will conduct a similar conference in Houston this fall.

Complexities, failures (downside): Learning to trade Forex is possible for people who are willing and able to invest the time to make a longer term commitment to get educated. The failures occur with people wanting to make "easy money" quickly. A disciplined trader who considers his trading a business requiring a life skill will implement what is taught without "reinventing the wheel" and eventually become successful.

Vision for the Kingdom: Nathan's primary goal is to be available and flexible to allow God to direct his steps. The Lord has brought significant blessing and ministry to Nathan that came without a lot of planning and goal setting. Nathan feels like he's "along for the ride" simply doing what he sees the Father doing.

Impact from Releasing Kings: Nathan read Releasing Kings and found it simple yet profound. It sparked a thought process and some Bible study to think through the implications.

How Can Nathan Help You: Nathan's video series will be available in the fall of 2009. He is also available for live conferences and ministry. See www.time4newfuture.com.

Nathan has a great mentoring program for training people to trade foreign exchange currencies (FOREX). He is patient and thorough and able to help people with no trading background. If you have an interest, simply call him. See www.forexmentoring4u.com and www.gaubfx.com.

It costs about $700 per year for the training. After practicing for several months you can open a live account with as little as $300 and trading in small enough lots that losses are not traumatic during the learning curve. Plan on 1-3 years to become proficient. If it was easy everyone would be doing it!
