How to Start a Small Group
- Kings are increasingly getting
involved in Bible study or mentoring groups to facilitate their
"Release." Here are some helpful
suggestions
www.Releasing-Kings.com/Starting-a-Group.html. We've also updated
our
Vision Brochure with graphics to show how to become a King and how you
can help Release Kings.
Conference - Our next conference is
in Sebring, Florida May 8-9. It's close to both Tampa Bay and Orlando so
it's an opportunity to see the great state of Florida... as a King. See
the details on our
conference
page.
Trolling For Divine
Appointments
God's People
- I'm continually amazed at the networking aspect in the way God runs
the Kingdom. "People" are the currency of the Kingdom. The blessing that
you can give or receive by finding the right people is God's primary way
of ministering to one another and connecting the dots to assemble the
team for the next great exploits. The motive is simply love... we
"connect" with people we love.
Taking the veil off - I was at a
conference (Kingdom Economic Summit) this past week so it was a hotbed
of opportunities to meet other Kings and find out what God is doing in
other camps... 80 speakers in four days. That's a ton of information.
What struck me most was the deposit of wealth God has in His people
and the one-on-one dynamics. New ideas and new exploits are breaking out
like popcorn as this reformation of Kingly ministry gets launched. It
felt like our priestly heritage is build around meetings and preaching
and the Kingly realm has more emphasis on networking opportunities.
I was ministered to and had opportunities to minister to others. It was
so much fun I decided it was worth a newsletter to chat about the giving
and receiving process of networking / ministry. Cashing in on all that
fun means sharpening our skills to recognize when to receive and when to
give and who that exchange should be with.
I ask you to receive her
in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints and to give her any
help she may need from you... Rom 16:2 NIV
Receiving
- All of us have assignments that are bigger than our personal
abilities. It takes faith to face challenges that are beyond our present
abilities or finances. The answer is always teaming with the missing
puzzle pieces. They show up in the form divine appointments with people.
If you're not watchful to draw that out of normal conversations you can
miss one of God's provisions. The best networkers I've encountered don't
wait for coincidence; they boldly introduce themselves to many people as
a means of knocking on doors of divine opportunity. What they find are
answers from people that God has prepared with solutions. It's pretty
exciting when you learn to expect it and discern it without being
demanding. The result is a connection that normally represents an
opportunity for both the giver and the receiver plus an ongoing
friendship. When the puzzle pieces
come together something new is created in the Kingdom, prayers are
answered, heart's desires are fulfilled and God's purposes are
advanced.
Giving - It takes courage to
introduce yourself into the life of another and volunteer to bless them.
There are a couple of steps I use that you may find helpful.
-
First, I
just watch for God to highlight someone. I find myself feeling drawn to
that person or attracted to them by the Holy Spirit. You'll often feel a
heightened sense of love for that person as the Holy Spirit places a
burden on you to pray for them. It's normal, and
maybe even helpful, to suspect and discern my own motives and verify that
I'm the best person to interact. Sometimes we can pick up on things God
is wanting to do and not be the best person to do it.
-
Secondly, I don't assume the other person is necessarily receptive or
that the timing is right. I just ask if they would like prayer or
conversation. If the answer is "not now," that's OK. However, if I've
approached someone the Lord has highlighted that person invariably welcomes the interaction and gets totally blessed.
-
If the
person the Lord has highlighted, wants ministry, I like to include others
to help add additional prophetic insight and balance. It's
wise to minister with one or two others. If a man is ministering to a
woman, I always include another woman to help pray and add a degree of
accountability. If I'm ministering to another man it can also be helpful
to include a woman to bring a different perspective.
When and where? - Once we learn to
listen, the Holy Spirit gives a sense or unction for many of the people
we're around. If the setting is too public, you can minister through
questions and conversation. If our friend wants ministry and the setting
is right for prayer or prophecy, I just go for it. If it's done in love
and with and an unction the results are always somewhere between really
good and amazing!
The
reality is that we can touch people's lives in all kinds of different
places if we adjust our discretion accordingly... at work, at lunch,
during breaks, at conferences.
...For the testimony of
Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Rev 19:10 NIV

PS: I want to recommend some
follow-up reading.
Who is God by Harold Eberle provides the best explanation of
a more relational view of God. It's must reading that connects our perception
of God with everyday life.
Releasing Kings for Ministry in the Marketplace takes that
foundation into marketplace ministry and the entrepreneurial nature
of Kings. Fruit in the marketplace naturally springs out of sound
doctrine.
Desire to Destiny - Takes the foundation and marketplace
ministry and puts them in the context of seven practical keys or
stages of growth you can apply in your own life.
You're invited into the
vision to release Kings; communicate the message, make the money, and do
the mission.
-
The Message - Our first goal is to
get the Releasing Kings message into the hands of the messengers that
will carry it... do it, preach it, teach it, example it.
-
The Money - The second goal is to
help Kings break out of poverty by networking them with practical
opportunities to prosper. We want to introduce them to the right people,
the right opportunity, and the right financial approach.
-
The Mission - Network Kings with
opportunities to mix business and missions. Accomplish the great
commission through the marketplace.
