How to Start a Small Group
- Kings are increasingly getting
involved in Bible study or mentoring groups to facilitate their
"Release." Here are some helpful
suggestions
www.Releasing-Kings.com/Starting-a-Group.html. We've also updated
our
Vision Brochure with graphics to show how to become a King and how you
can help Release Kings.
Conference - Our next conference is
in Sebring, Florida May 8-9. It's close to both Tampa Bay and Orlando so
it's an opportunity to see the great state of Florida... as a King. See
the details on our
conference

What's Your Dream?
Secret of Leadership
- One of the great secrets of leadership is that God didn't design
people to do what they are told. We're all designed to follow the desire
of our heart. We can not teach anyone one "how to" until we know "what
to." It's a Kingly value system that we'll be teaching this weekend in
Sebring. We all need to know three things about those around us:
-
What's your dream?
-
What's the next step?
-
How can I, or someone I know, help you take the next step?
Friends should be asking these questions.
Leaders must ask them. Leadership, both in the church and secular
management, was built around the philosophy of articulating a vision and
getting everyone to sign up... be committed, obey the vision, serve the
corporate goal, be in unity around the larger purpose. It's not a bad
philosophy, it just works better with robots than people.
People
that do serve in someone else's vision are often happy to do so until
they mature spiritually to the point that they can see their own. Often
spiritual maturity usually takes a path through being faithful in that
which is another man's before we receive our own. It's a good thing
unless you get stuck there.
12 And if ye have not been
faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that
which is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters: for either
he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to
the one, and despise the other. Luke 16:12-13 KJV
The foundation
- Why don't we normally ask those three questions? Our tradition is that
we believe we're servants waiting on God to move sovereignly or guide us
to take the next step. The core of our identity is obedient servants
that wouldn't dare have an independent dream. Our very identity is at
war with our heart's desires. In fact, many believers can't tell you
their heart's desires because they have denied them as carnal for so
long. Listen to what Jesus said regarding this topic.
I no longer call you
servants, because a servant does not know his master's business.
Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned
from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me,
but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit — fruit that
will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my
name. 17 This is my command: Love each other. John 15:14-17 NIV
Identity change
- We're God's friends. We play a role is designing our own destiny. It's
through those conversations with the Father that we offer up our heart's
desires and make decisions to pursue them. Jesus is also making known to
us what the Father is doing to build the Kingdom. That's relevant. I
love to release Kings because it's both the desire of my heart and the
desire of the Father's heart.
Authority
- When we give ourselves permission to pursue a dream and "determine" a
course, our subconscious lines up to work with us instead of sabotaging
our efforts. Religious people are internally conflicted and usually
working against their own heart's desires out of obedience. Kings have
an internal alignment that gives them authority and creativity. New
ideas and opportunities flow toward those who are not double-minded.
The second level of alignment is with the
Father. We're doing what we are designed to do plus we're flowing with
what the Father is specifically doing in the present season. The result
is fruit that lasts. The things we work on have a real effect and we
sense the Father saying "well done" when we're finished.
Jesus simply states, "The Father will give
you whatever you ask in my name." That's an amazing statement that
servants just don't get. You have to be a King to ask for the desires of
your heart.
Love each other
- The capstone of all ministry and encouragement is love. When you help
another brother or sister get in touch with the desires of their heart,
you're raising them from servant to friend. It feels so good to talk to
the Father and play a role in the Kingdom doing what the Father is
doing. Finding out that our heart's desires are mapped right into God's
plan is a jailbreak kind of revelation upon which reformations are
built... and parties are started. I love this stuff. I love living the
life it produces. It's FUN.

PS: I want to recommend some
follow-up reading.
Who is God by Harold Eberle provides the best explanation of
a more relational view of God. It's must reading that connects our perception
of God with everyday life.
Releasing Kings for Ministry in the Marketplace takes that
foundation into marketplace ministry and the entrepreneurial nature
of Kings. Fruit in the marketplace naturally springs out of sound
doctrine.
Desire to Destiny - Takes the foundation and marketplace
ministry and puts them in the context of seven practical keys or
stages of growth you can apply in your own life.
You're invited into the
vision to release Kings; communicate the message, make the money, and do
the mission.
-
The Message - Our first goal is to
get the Releasing Kings message into the hands of the messengers that
will carry it... do it, preach it, teach it, example it.
-
The Money - The second goal is to
help Kings break out of poverty by networking them with practical
opportunities to prosper. We want to introduce them to the right people,
the right opportunity, and the right financial approach.
-
The Mission - Network Kings with
opportunities to mix business and missions. Accomplish the great
commission through the marketplace.
