Transition to fun – One of the
greatest thrills in adopting
this Kingly lifestyle is the joy of allowing myself to freely be who
God
created. Religion is all about boundaries and staying within the
fences. Shedding
the expectations of others and the fear of man releases our spirit into
a new arena
– it’s amazingly fun! Christians,
in general, and ministers and politicians, more specifically, take
themselves
way too seriously. I am personally very prone to absorb kingdom
principles and
Godly goals
inside my competitive (and somewhat aggressive) nature and take myself
too
seriously. Laughter has healed my heart in a very real way. People who
can
laugh with me, and aren’t afraid to laugh at me, are my best friends…
they keep
me pliable in the spirit. Can you see
that holy and sacred and party and fun go together? Then
he said to them, "Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send
portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our
Lord. Do
not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." Neh 8:10 NASU A
merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the

will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God…
Isa 61:10 KJV Politics – One of the
secondary fruits of joy is that
I’ve lost my fear of man. I used to avoid political issues, if at all
possible,
to keep any other person from stumbling. I wouldn’t discuss sensitive
topics,
and feared arguments, to keep my religious identity pure and unstained
from judgments…
so did 10’s of millions of others over the last few decades, and our
national
values have eroded thanks to the “silent majority” of Christians like
me. God is
calling us out from under our beds. Over the last months I’ve been
using Facebook
to share observations on political issues that resonate with many
others.
Personal joy is the foundation that allows me to love people more than
the
issues – Now I’m free to challenge stupidity. If I’m wrong, we can
laugh it off
and make a correction. Political issues don’t scare me. Political
correctness is
just something to have fun with – a source of humor. Separation of
church and state is just a toothless ploy of a roaring lion to silence
believers. Revival – I’ve lived my
entire Christian life
since 1970 contending for and expecting revival. We did have the
charismatic
renewal in the 70’s, the prophetic renewal in the 80’s, and in the 90’s
we had
Toronto and Brownsville. My theology expected revival through the
church,
organized by pastors and apostles. We just had a
national call to a third historic revival beyond anything that’s
happened in
our lifetimes. Did you hear it? It came from Glenn Beck (a Mormon in
the media
mountain on FOX news). Now that is funny. Who said God doesn’t have a
sense of
humor? Glenn shook the nation in the spirit and we haven’t heard a peep
from our
traditional channels. This voice came from left field – outside our
theological
and religious paradigm. Over 500,000 people gathered in the presence of
the
Lord at the reflecting pool to celebrate the goodness of God in our
nation’s
capital. Glenn (and God) managed to confuse secularists and the church
at the
same time. Jesus showed up in the wrong mountain! Expect more – Our personal joy, and great moves of God that will touch nations are coming through the marketplace. The church will continue to equip, but the trumpet call for revival will come through the media mountain. Values will be highlighted in the arts and entertainment. The strength of the Kingdom to break down barriers to the nations will occur in the business mountain. Revival in youth will come through the education mountain – we will put the presence of God back in our schools. Those who have objected to religion, Biblical principles and church will be silent in the presence of God. The political mountain will serve God and the people to release captives and spread freedom instead of pushing secular, oppressive and elitist ideologies. The spirit of control and corruption will “come out” of governments. Kings will arise in every mountain, clothed with the presence, glory and power of God’s Spirit. They will be spiritual, Biblical and practically involved in the marketplace.
Finally, believers, who think everything will come through
the church mountain, will continue to get surprised. What’s next – My heart is
leaping a little bit
because I’m feeling breakthrough in the air… particularly in finances
in this
hour. Those pioneers who have been sowing and expecting, are going to
see a
harvest. Sowing is quietly going on behind the scenes, but reaping is
just beginning.
A door is
being opened to teach others to sow and harvest… to create wealth.
Pastors are
just starting to grasp the concept that creating wealth is an
ingredient in a
mature disciple. We will lay a foundation to replace poverty with
industry and
innovation, and we will replace the spirit of entitlements with a faith
that
works and creates. Abundance and generosity and joy all go together.
You’ve
tried serving God without money; now you can try it with a cup that
overflows
and see how it feels! The
Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am
helped. My
heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. Ps 28:6 NIV But
remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to
produce
wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your
forefathers, as it
is today. Deut 8:18 NIV A
feast is made for laughter, and wine makes life merry, but money is the
answer
for everything. Eccl 10:19 NIV Why is this verse
the confession of our hearts? (Afformation, an assignment to answer in
your devotions) Our
mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then
it was
said among the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them."
The Lord has done great things for us, and we
are filled with joy. Ps 126:2-3 NIV We really are dancing!!! PS:
Most regard Mormonism as a cult and outside the realm of sound Biblical
doctrine for good reason. Mormonism and Islam have many of the same
ingredients. That being said, the larger plan is that God is reaching
into
those religions and people are getting genuinely saved. Sure, it’s
messy and
confusing.
But it’s exactly like our salvation. First we get saved, and then all
the junk
comes off. God's power and presence trumps religion, and
eventually
leads to sound doctrine and a changed lifes. In the mean time, we just
monitor the
fruit and celebrate the victories... with great joy. Just imagine the
consternation God is causing for those who worry about Mormon and
Islamic doctrine! ....Dreams about Jesus, healings, worship, filled
with the Spirit = big problems! PSS: You may
