got this email from a friend. It provides a great perspective for
praying for
Egypt. Obviously, the enemy is hard at work and there are clearly
forces
seeking to take over the nation. The US sponsored military is probably
the best
hope for democracy. Greetings
from Cairo, Egypt. The
internet service are back an hour ago, so I thought to use the chance
and
report you before it stops again, it
all started the 25th of January ,ad still escalating till today , it is
all
major disaster , fear are everywhere , all people are panic in
pain and
troubled, no one knows where the country is going on , or what
to expect ,
all government offices and private businesses are closed, schools and
universities , even hospitals are shut down, Curfew
is daily from 3 pm till 8 am, some time they make it from 7am till 5 pm. Food
are not available plus most of super markets are closed afraid
from attack
and damage, which already been proven as the biggest supermarket chains
like
carefuerre and hyper one were burnt to dust. Prisoners
had escaped 5 major Jails , average around 10000 and may be
above by
far , police stations were burnt , police people and
officers run
away , Lots
of stealing and theft in place, Woman and children are kept at homes
while all
men and young people are under their houses to guard and protect their
families
and belonging, not mentioning the hundreds of thousands gathered since
that day
in down town area of Cairo protest ting and demonstrating their views. All
banks and stock market were closed since then, ATM machines
are empty so
no cash money is available to buy or so, Egypt
were known to us by security and safety which vanished in one day or an
hour
,we all are surprised and astonished from what is going on , sense of
total
ambiguity and hidden hands behind all of these . Rich
people and VIP’s are running away from the country, most of
foreigners had
flee for their life away, Even
bread and common food are very hard to find. Lack of trust and total
sense of
left out and betrayals are covering the nation. Media
stations are reporting lots of lies and untruthful situations
like BBC,
CNN, el Arabia, el gazeira and so on, so no source of true
accurate
information is available or accessible The
military is trying to establish some type of control in the streets of
Egypt,
many people died and shoot cars are stolen plus weapons of the interior
affairs
police stations are stolen and had been with criminals. every
one young and old are holding any type of stick or rod or knife or
whatever may
help in protecting their families , major divisions between
those with
the Mubarak and the opposition , clashes and attacks are on the rise
increasing
daily . Mobile
phones and land lines and internet were shut down since the 25th
of
January, and only open and back short time every day for the last 2
days only. Many
foreigners have been caught trying to raise the violence of the
opposition
parties and even supporting their rise paying money and giving food to
those
staying in downtown demonstrating the protests. Well
many are claiming to be the leaders of the country and even speaks on
behalf of
the people of Egypt as their representatives. And most of them are
anonymous
and unknown by civilians. Well
this is the situation at hand as I tried to explain to you, in the
midst of
this we are praying and believing God for better Egypt and democracy
that can
allow the gospel of the kingdom to spread out more in openness of
people's
desire for hope and future. We
as a family are in good shape; wife and kids are at home while I am in
the
streets most of the time to protect our building and neighbors and
certainly my
family. The
feelings I have is all what happened is preplanned for the sake of the
gospel
and it is an opportunity made by God, Egypt is changing and never the
same
again ,we live to see how this days will unfold the wisdom of god and
his plans
for Egypt and us as loving this nations and lives in its land . From
