Adding the Miraculous So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to do miraculous signs and wonders. 4 The people of the city were divided; some sided with the Jews, others with the apostles.  Acts 14:3-4  NIV   Roger - A friend of mine (Roger Webb) has been struggling with cancer that started in his colon and spread to his liver and lungs. His tall, athletic frame now looks like he just got back from the Bataan death march. He's been through two rounds of chemotherapy with a surgery in between over the last year. The doctor finally told him it wasn't working and sent him off to another doctor to try a "last resort" test drug that is not generally available or proven. Roger is Spirit-filled and has been to our city's local healing rooms approximately 50 times. We finally decided to go to a church in Redding, CA that is known for healing (cancer in particular). We went to services and healing rooms Friday through Sunday. Lots of things happened during prayer that were encouraging. In the Sunday night service a brother shared about being in Lakeland, FL. There were many words of knowledge for various sicknesses. One was for a metal plate in a right leg. To my surprise Roger raised his hand; it was a plate from a softball injury 17 years ago when he broke his leg. As people gathered around him to pray the leg was shaking and it was obvious something was happening. A few minutes later another word of knowledge came for stomach cancer and Roger was again the focus of prayer. We went back to the motel Sunday night worn out from the weekend. When we flew home Monday I suggested he have security at the airport wand his leg to see if the plate was gone (on the way over he was checked by a security guard and the plate make the detector "scream.") This time the security guard couldn't find the plate even though Roger had him check for it twice. It was a miracle; a sign that that his cancer is also on the way out. The reality of it's significance began to soak in as we flew home... pinching ourselves back to reality. God is Moving - Spiritual progress in things like healing have historically come packaged in waves of revival. It's a rather messy process in which undeniable miracles are mixed with strange new phenomena and occasional excesses that ignite some and offend others. When the dust settles we have some new power and wisdom to minister to people and expand the Kingdom. Now Stephen, a man full of God's grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people. 9 Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called)-Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia. These men began to argue with Stephen, 10 but they could not stand up against his wisdom or the Spirit by whom he spoke. Acts 6:8-10  NIV   Hear the sound - Although healing is the primary prophetic thrust in this latest move there is a parallel theme beginning to show itself - finances! God is prophetically touching finances in the lives of people. The anointing to multiply finances is coming with an impartation for the miraculous. I want you to hear the balance of this in two distinct ways. 1. The impartation is real. Your don't have to choose to be in this pioneering phase, but I don't know why we would hold back. God is opening some new doors that allow his people to overcome debt and realize a new dimension of multiplying finances. "Jump in" is the only logical response for Kings. 2. For those concerned about imbalance we can probably see it coming. Those without a background in business will tend to look for the gold coin in the fish's mouth instead of multiplying their talents and mina's. Wisdom, business plans, cash flow, and value for dollars will still be the bedrock of God's multiplication process. However, there is a miraculous ingredient showing itself in divine appointments, creativity, and opportunities we never dreamed of. Here's my suggestion - Someday soon you will hear of a revival near you. When it happens be mentally prepared to go and receive a new level of anointing from the Lord. As you apply that anointing to your life it will change your level of prosperity and it will open all kinds of new doors for ministry because you will be able to convert some of that money into ministry. It's already happening for Kings that have said "yes" in the first wave.
