subscribe, view past issues and Get the Book Releasing Kings Conference in Yakima We're in Yakima, WA November 10-11 for a Releasing Kings Conference. Friday night is a dinner (Sea Galley @ 6:30) with the local Full Gospel Businessmen. Saturday morning the meeting is 9AM-1PM at Shiloh Christian Center (112 N Pierce Ave). John is the speaker and we've invited Howard & Leslie Ferris, John and Joani Laney, and Duane and Karen Smith so you'll get a flavor of what God is doing through their "exploits." This is going to be party and our goal is to sponsor a "jail break" in your life!
Exploits Are For Everyone Our Tradition - There is a new sound in the Kingdom and Kings are beginning to experience a new kind of breakthrough. It's financial! Our prior model for outreach ministry (or missions) has been centered around Jesus' instructions to the disciples in Matt 10. Healing, resurrection, deliverance. "The worker is worthy of his keep" is classically understood to mean that the missionary is supported by offerings. Thus, our missionaries come home annually to "itinerate" and raise support through offerings in local churches. Traveling ministries depend on the frequency and size of offerings to survive.
Multiplying Finances - That's not a bad model - it's just not the only model. What is happening in marketplace ministry is that Kings are going out with the same anointing for miracles plus a financial ingredient. Last week we featured an interview with Howard Ferris - a great example of an engineer with an self supporting evangelistic gift. We are starting to see testimonies of financial breakthrough and we're starting to disciple an anointing for finances to go with ministry.
The New Paradigm - A number of changes are occurring in the Kingdom to complement a new entrepreneurial spirit. 1. Testimonies of financial increase are beginning to come in. We're celebrating marketplace breakthroughs that used to be materialistic carnality. Now we understand the money can be converted to ministry. Our testimonies used to be "spiritual miracles" that verified that your offering would be put to good use. Now we see an anointing for signs and wonders coupled with the resources to carry out ministry.
2. Entrepreneurial Disciples - God is putting a creative, entrepreneurial ingredient in Christians that excels in the marketplace. They accept abundance as a fact of "life in Christ" and the believe and work to see it manifested. They enjoy the creative process and they are finding open doors to notoriety and wealth which they view as tools of ministry - to make others successful.
3. Sowing For Increase - Instead of waiting for God to sovereignly rain down provisions or taking the offering route, these Kings are sowing generously so they can reap generously. They are starting businesses or making investments that will result in ministry. They are aggressively pursuing God's provision in a practical ways. They don't feel greedy or materialistic to the slightest degree. In fact, they find the whole process of inheriting God's abundance an exciting adventure.
Could it be me? - Absolutely! Ministering out of a cup that is overflowing is what it's all about... Jesus paved that way to "greater works" and the abundant life that makes it possible. You'll be amazed at what you can do for God when you give yourself permission to act and take the responsibility and initiative to make it happen.
Life is an adventure. People are a blessing. God is amazing. We're winning.
