After every service he would entertain questions from a cross section of society. His Book answers the objections to our culture. I found it to be interesting and helpful... a great gift for a new believer. Kingly Fathers Note: My favorite Father's day message is one from 2005 about my own father. You'll enjoy it. Dads with dunamis - God is raising up fathers who can show us how to multiply our finances and ministry. We usually think of revival in terms of "meetings" and outpourings in places like Toronto, Brownsville, and Lakeland. I think those events are great and we'll see many more throughout the US and around the world. The presence of God is like cool drink of water on a dry and thirsty land. We welcome it! To one he gave five talents of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability (dunamis). Then he went on his journey. Mt 25:15 I want to suggest that we're just learning now to go from "visitation" to "habitation." God visits meetings but he inhabits people and lands. For me, the practical difference is finances. Meetings are financed by offerings; wonderful as they are, they eventually wane and become a memory of past glories. We usually take away some new dimension of the Spirit - Healing, the prophetic, and worship are examples of frontiers that have been expanded because of revival visitations. Creating a "working" Habitation - When God inhabits a people in their geographic location, it translates to a personal level and looks like this; We find the work were called to do and the prosperity that sustains it. Our ministry and vocation essentially overlap when Kings enter "full-time" ministry. When we take a break from work and attend revival meetings we are refreshed and inspired. However, going back to work can drain the enthusiasm right back out of us. When our work "is" our ministry "and" the source of our prosperity "and" the expression of our calling, then our spirit is enlivened by what we do. That's God real intent for Kings. Each of us are called to be about our Father's "business"... we we're created for good works (even though we're not saved by them). God created work to feed our spirit and give it opportunity for expression. If we get saved and never find "our work" we feel something missing and we're always looking toward vacations and retirement to revive us. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:10 NIV And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? Luke 2:49 KJV "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.  NIV 17 Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working." John 5:16-17 NIV Habitation is visitation taken from a series nightly meetings to daily expression in the marketplace! It's a culture or community of believers that are simply living out the individual "works" they we're created for. It's Christians expressing themselves creatively in business, the arts, entertainment, media, education, politics, etc. They create services and goods that "minister" to people so much they are gladly willing to pay for them. Visitations are funded by offerings; Habitation is multiplied by profits. We need both! One is the spark the other is the fire. If a spiritual father could help you find your calling and show you how to connect financial and spiritual prosperity, would you be interested? Yes indeed. We all would be.
