John - Will keep
you posted regarding the teaching/class if you wish. It’s a new
concept for many, as you will be aware, most of us come from
teaching of how “guilty, vile and helpless" we are, it is
interesting that for some time now I have been teaching that we ARE
made in the image of God (Genesis) so what should that mean to us.
At present I am using your material and am alternating between a
chapter of
your book then a DVD session from the conference – I find that
the two blend well and give credibility and impact.

Find a Way
What Poverty Feels like - We've all felt lack at some
point. It's frustrating! We get mad at others for not helping; mad at
ourselves for bad decisions; and mad at God for not showing us an
answer. Poverty is a sense of being powerless over your own situation;
unloved and alone. The sister that walks with poverty is a sense of
being out of touch with God. It's bad enough to have have no money. But,
to be stranded and unable to hear the voice of God is an even more
desperate situation.
If we're honest, we've
all been there. The wilderness experience isn't a camp site meant to be
enjoyed; it's a trial meant to be overcome.
Then Jesus was led by the
Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. Matt 4:1 NIV
It's during those dry times when things don't go the way
we hoped that we are prone to give up, get mad, or start feeling sorry
for ourselves. However, it is also true that those seasons in the
wilderness are exactly the right time to seek God for an answer.
It is the glory of God to
conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.
Prov 25:2 KJV
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if
you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deut
4:29 NIV
God really does hide himself and His blessing at times to
see if we really love Him enough to search for him. Kings search for Him
- that's what sets a King apart from a pauper. Kings always believe the
presence of God can be found... and his provision can be obtained.
Poverty is really just a belief that God doesn't want to prosper us.
Poverty believes there is no answer to be found. Poverty is a
debilitating captivity of our spirit that leaves us passive and
resentful.
For I know the plans I have
for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon
me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will
seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will
be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from
captivity. Jer 29:11-14 NIV
No temptation has overtaken
you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not
allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the
temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be
able to endure it. 1 Cor 10:13 NASU
Feeling trapped
by your circumstance? - Knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt
that God wants to bless you and make your name great is the simple
belief that will free you to search for the means by which it can
happen. "Searching out a matter" is not a passive activity; it's intense
prayer; it's knocking on doors of potential opportunity; it's
persistence in the face of no apparent progress; it's trying when you
would rather quit. But most of all it's knowing that God is for you even
when you've given up on yourself. It's that little voice of
encouragement that says, "There is a way, and I can help you find it."
Father, the enemy has stolen from your
people; both their possessions and their joy. Right now I speak
resurrection power into their lives and their circumstances. We
rekindle faith and hope and love. We heal the brokenness of hope
deferred. We restore their heart's desire and the possibility of a
dream come true. Lord, we place your people at your altar; to join a
great army of Kings that are more than conquerors. Let their hearts
be set on you and on the "way."
If you believe
- that God wants to prosper you and show you a way through your
circumstance you will actually attract an answer. Needs don't attract
resources; opportunities do. Investors are not looking for problems;
they are looking for opportunities. God is a little bit like an
investor. His eyes are searching throughout the earth looking for faith
that he can bless. Can you see the opportunity in your future. When you
can, the provision will soon follow... along with the presence of the
Lord.
For the eyes of the LORD run
to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the
behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.
2 Chron 16:9 KJV
