A Study Group
- Many people are involved in Bible study groups to Release Kings.
Here are some helpful suggestions from a
prior newsletter.
I usually get a batch of new years prophetic
declarations around the 1st of every year. For some reason not much came
this year? Here's what the Lord has been emphasizing in my heart.
"Send
some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the
Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders." Num
13:1-2 NIV
At the end of forty days they returned from exploring the land. Num
13:25
This is a year of dreams
coming true by your actions. Send out your spies and take
inventory of the land you have been given in the Spirit. Make plans to
possess your inheritance. Use the next forty days to list your dreams
and review them with the Lord. You are assigned a place flowing with
milk and honey. The first step to receiving it is to see it and put it
on paper. There will be warfare, but you are well able to possess all of
your inheritance.
There are "about" a dozen instances of "40 days" in
scripture.
-
1. Forty
days
and nights the rain fell on Noah, Gen 7:4
-
2. Forty
Days
Noah opened the window of the Ark, Gen 8:6
-
3. Forty
days
Israel was
mourned at Joseph’s direction, Gen 50:3
-
4.
Forty days Moses was in the mount and in the cloud, Exo 24:18
-
5. Forty
days Moses in the mount after the sin of the Golden Calf, Deut
9:18,25.
-
6. Forty
days the 12 spies reviewed the new land, Num 13:26, 14:34.
-
7. Forty
Days of Goliath challenging Saul’s army, 1Sam 17:16
-
8. Forty
days of Elijah in Horeb, 1 Kings 19:8.
-
9. Forty
days of Jonah and Nineveh, Jonah 3:4.
-
10. Forty
days Ezekiel lay on his right side, Ezek 4:6
-
11. Forty
days Jesus was tempted of the Devil, Matt 4:2.
-
12. Forty
days Jesus was seen of His disciples, speaking about the
Kingdom (explaining Marketplace ministry?), Acts 1:3.
"Forty days
denotes a period of seeking God or preparation for some special action
of the Lord; it is a time of grace (the number 5) times the number of
revival (8). Just as a woman gives birth after carrying a child 40
weeks, you must carry your dream, possess it in your heart, and give
birth to it by your actions. Something good comes after these forty day
periods.
After the flood in
Genesis, a new creation begins. After Moses converses with God, the
covenant is renewed. After Elijah's journey, God strengthens him to
resume his prophetic ministry. After Jesus' temptation, he begins his
public ministry; after the Ascension, we enter the age of "greater
works."
2008 is a year
of renewal or revival. It won't come as some earth-shaking crusade. This
is a grass roots move where Kings find their breakthrough and enter into
their ministry in the marketplace. Seeds that have been sown will sprout
and bear fruit and bring a return. Multiplication of finances is
available to God's people like no time in history. Those that are able
to break off the excuses of poverty will find great increase when they
look for it.
Coaching -
Those that have experienced a measure of success will do three things.
They will go on to higher levels, they will cultivate new networks, and,
at the same time, they will reach out their hands to pull another
brother or sister into their destiny. In the past people resisted asking
for help; in this season they will see the wisdom of "asking and
receiving" the counsel of those that have gone before them.
Ministry in the
Marketplace - Spiritual and practical ministry in the
marketplace will continue to increase in the marketplace. God's people
will delight in finding opportunities to express their gifts and
callings and anointings. David's mighty men will do "great exploits."
Kings will rejoice greatly as strongholds fall and victories are won.
Their example will inspire many. A trumpet sounding "a charge" will be
heard in the spirit by many and they will become aggressive in their
pursuit of the Kingdom. Ramparts will fall and relatively "normal
saints" will become God's marines and begin to yearn to join the fight
themselves and ask, "What can we take next?"
