God Has Moved is about the transition of ministry into the marketplace.   Surprised By the Goodness Of God Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?  Rom 2:4 ...put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 1 Tim 6:17-18 NIV   Benchmarks - The Lord just surprised us with His goodness this week. I'll share more details in conferences in the future. Whenever we touch a breakthrough we're reminded that our best efforts can be multiplied in effectiveness by the Holy Spirit so that the results are amazing. One of my written financial goals is to live well on 10% and use the other nine parts to expand the Kingdom by Releasing Kings. The intimidating part of that goal was that its four years old and easily measurable. At the time, I believed it was theoretically possible and sowed to make it happen. The process was slower than my level of patience and the setbacks along the way caused me to emotionally put it on the back burner. Hence the "surprise." We're not there yet but now I'm starting to expect it. We really shouldn't be surprised at God's goodness. The real reason we can be forgiving, patient, and generous is that we've personally experienced all those things from Jesus. He's been very faithful to resurrect every mud hole I've managed to fall into. It's like a theme in our our lives. Here's a sampling of stories from my own experience: In high school before I was really saved I didn't make the starting five in basketball as a sophomore... crushing disappointment at the time. However, I got more playing time than some of the starters that year and started the next two years when we never lost a home game, won our conference championships, and was first pick on the coaches all-conference team. As a senior, I went through a surgery that threatened the season. I only missed a few games and my doctor invited me to a Bible Study where I got saved. The night before a 4-H horse show my colt got caught in a hail storm and injured so he couldn't be shown. The next year he won his class. In college, a 2 year dating relationship ended with graduation. Months later I met Sue (the perfect wife)... 4 kids and 4 grandkids with more on the way. I love my family and we're blessed beyond measure by God. After 29 years as an engineer and manager my company lost their contract and I was laid off. The six months of severance pay was perfect for writing Releasing Kings. I found another job and realized being an engineer wasn't my only option. Most recently, my employer ran out of work (contracts) and there was little to keep us busy. I've taken the time off without pay to learn how to multiply finances from Greg Delessandri. Probably not for everyone, but I'm excited! It's like a career change. Get the picture? Every time life hands us a lemon, we can take God's hand and make lemonade and share it with all our friends. We "almost" look forward to lemons because change an exciting adventure; a season where God takes us to the next level of blessing so we can bless the nations. Resurrection is a way of life for Kings. Neither life circumstances nor enemy resistance can keep us from the spiritual and natural abundance in our destiny. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; 30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. Rom 8:28-30 Keep sowing - We don't get to predict the future in detail. What we can do is have a dream and sow toward it until it happens. That doesn't mean there won't be lots of surprises and mid-course corrections. The constant in this equation is the nature of God; He's good to us. His blessing goes beyond all that we could ask or imagine. What makes it happen? His power is at work within us. The only thing that can stop us is when we decide to stop trying and lose sight of the dream, the goal, and the Kingdom. It's hard to get disappointed and give up when the Holy Spirit keeps resurrecting us. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine , according to his power that is at work within us... Eph 3:20 NIV These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.
